Moya Valley Chickens an authentic ethical small cottage grower based in the Mary Valley region. The Moya Valley chickens have a solid reputation for being very falvourful and great value. They only process 800-1,000 birds per week, all by hand. They are accredited with the Free Range Poultry Association of Queensland. * After living a stress-free life being allowed to grow to to full size without any promotants or interference, Moya Valley Chickens are processed humanely by hand, literally less than 24 hours before we deliver them to you! They are either packaged for fresh cold delivery or for frozen fresh.
* These birds are raised with care and humanely: They are free to roam and grow naturally in their own time. The Free Range Poultry Association accreditation is unique, unlike other free range which simply means 1 chicken per A4 sheet of paper (i.e. 10,000 per hectare), because under this accreditation growers can only have a maximum of 1,500 birds per hectare. Moya Valley's chickens have a lot more space per chicken than they require.
* The meat from these all-naturally grown and hand-processed chickens doesn't have any pump-up grains, or steroids, antibiotics or hormones and therefore does not store a lot moisture in the tissues, so it tends to be a tighter texture - it cooks a little quicker and the taste is wonderful - like a real unpolluted chicken should.
* The birds roam free but also receive supplement custom natural feed - this feed contains no synthetic methionine, GMO product, or meat by-products.
